Strange fact number 3. I cry at movies, but not in the places you’re supposed to.

A classic example would be the opening of Paprika; it’s just so beautifully constructed and cut together I always end up in tears, especially when the music pulls it all together.

Yes, I do cry at the sad parts in some movies, but not all of them. The films that I really do cry at are the ones that move me because they are just so stunningly beautiful and observant. Perhaps it’s also because it gives me just a glimmer of hope for the misbegotten travesty that is the human race when I see something that has been created out of someone’s sheer desire to share their vision and to make art for the sake of art instead of box office records.
