It's scary that yes, Gladstone can do things without putting in any effort (e.g. get a hole-in-one), but he'll cause more catastrophe the less work he puts in. Like if he shot in the general direction of the hole in golf, all the world has to do is get the right wind currents, etc. but if he shot like, backwards where there are no obstacles to put it back to the correct path there'll be an earthquake or something. It might be in everyone else's best interests that Gladstone at least tries a bit.
^^^ yes! yes yes, although it’s fun because this is where Gladstone’s luck gets ‘sentient’, because in some stories it’s as if it likes the challenge/trust of him allowing it to do all the legwork, but in some stories it’s as if it gets annoyed at being used too much, and then things go sour for him! it’s a really fun plot generator, lots of potential- much of the time the overall result is dependant on what deserves to happen to him/the others in the story
