oh my god you guys so you know how I have this Milotic called Reigen who I refuse to allow to forget Splash? So I’ve been opening most fights I use him in with Z-move Splash because it’s just so hysterically appropriate and I was thinking god this pokemon is so OP I’ve been decimating pokemon with this thing and

what I didn’t know, until literally five minutes ago after chronicling my obliteration of the Elite 4 on twitter, is that Z-move Splash does do something; it boosts the pokemon’s Attack by a ridiculous amount

I had. no. idea.

on top of that Reigen’s ability is Competitive? which sharply boosts Special Attack if the opposing pokemon tries to reduce one of his stats and hey turns out a lot of these Elites like to try doing that

I have been unwittingly creating a complete monster every single fight and blowing the competition to pieces with a perfectly sound tactic out of my sheer dedication to using Splash as a joke

I’m staggered rn I don’t know what to tell you but I guess Reigen’s absurd, logic-defying luck apparently spans into this realm as well
