This is a goop. They have no concept of what they are or the passage of time. They explore and examine new things by rolling over them, then promptly forgetting they have until said thing surfaces for a moment along their body hours later. The goop cannot see very well but they can “hear”, as its goop is surprisingly adept at absorbing soundwaves, along with any other such things, like one’s heartbeat for instance, which they will proceed to examine in their own special way. However, goop is slightly acidic, so be careful with hugs.

goop can be found in very, very dark and damp places like the inside of a tree or the bottom of the ocean. goop is something of a non-Newtonian fluid, so goop doesn’t leave behind much mess and is fairly sturdy when they want to be.

goop enjoys laying down and not moving at the base of a river and letting things step on them. goop also enjoys examining things with many ridges and edges and textures. They have the capacity to remember shapes and faces and voices by touch, and mimic them to communicate, if they need to communicate, which they don’t very often. goop is silent otherwise.
