hey so Paypal are changing stuff (again) and I am extremely tired and not good at understanding legalize, so can someone put me at ease? particularly about this paragraph about intellectual property? because my paranoia about selling my work online is bad enough as it is and I’m not sure I understand what they mean by them being allowed “to use content that you post for publication“

it’s probably fine and about stuff you write to paypal about rather than stuff you create and sell via it, but-?

  1. lilietsblog answered: i think it’s about stuff you write to paypal but it looks extremely dickish

  4. archpriest answered: Not sure if this has been answered but that basically means they can do whatever the fuck they want with your stuff without you legally being able to do shit about it.
  5. skeletonshades answered: My understanding of it is that they can show your stuff as an example to what can be sold over paypal, also that they can get you if the stuff you’re trying to sell is copyrighted and belongs to someone else and you cannot sue them if somethings bad
  6. chowderskin answered: It looks like, if you post things through paypal (I don’t know how that works?) they have the right to use the material if they want to, and they can’t challenge you for ownership, but you can’t sue them if you don’t like how they use it.

  11. meghalomanic answered: I’m not 100% certain of the exact definition, but it might be in reference to how paypal will use images of what people sell to advertise the service (like if you check the banner on paypal.com or something) I’m not 100% sure but that’s what it seems
