Only I FLEW ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO SPEND A WEEK WITH HER but now I’m far away again and jealous of everything she does because WHY AM I FAR AWAY AGAIN.

(also, I MISS YOU, TOO! You are so far away and everything is sad forever. But I still have our ~memories~ and our beautiful pictures.)

Awww, poor baby; here let me tell you a nice story to cheer you up.

Once upon a time in a strange little village on a strange little island there was a strange little girl. She liked to fetter away her time in a magical place called the internet, but because this was a special, magical place, the friends she made and met there could never really see her or embark upon exchanges of high fives, fist-bumps or other physical manifestations of jollity.

One of these magical friends was another girl called Fiona, who liked all of the things the strange little girl liked, and drew pictures of these things that were even better. Oh, how she longed to meet this wondrous creature, but Fiona lived on another island very far away across the sea, where people called things by other names and apologized to each other profusely for being too nice. It seemed that their meeting could only ever be in the mystical lands of the Blogosphere and the realms of DA.

Accepting this sad truth, the strange little girl continued to draw strange little things on her island, a lot of which people said were not very good, and some of which people said were a little worse, but she carried on drawing them anyway, because she was strange. One day she decided to try showing her strange drawings to some people who also lived very far away, but in a school one a very, very big island, which taught people how to make these drawings move. To her very great surprise, the people liked her drawings, and said that they would teach her, if she left her little island. This was a big thing to do, but also an exciting one, so she did, and she told Fiona about this very exciting thing and this very exciting, very big island that she was traveling to.

And wouldn’t you know it Fiona lived on Vancouver Island and then we got to meet up and have tea and larks forever and ever and it was very excellent and groovy the end. \(._.)/
