Anonymous asked: this might just be me, but id really appreciate it if you could make the text bigger in the duck doodle comics.
sorry, that bugs me too, but I’m actually using the same font size as in the official comics (in fact it’s slightly bigger!) the best way to read the pages is to open in a new tab so you can see it in the original 800 pixel wide size it’s meant to be, that or you can wait ‘til the whole thing is complete and then I’ll upload it all full size on my website (and then you can read the whole thing in one go which is. better anyway) :Tb
God gave me basic image editing skills and a free downloadable Carl Barks font for a reason
Original Vine: (X)
i was honestly almost convinced this was real
All I can think of is @modmad should see this and that modmad would probably get very upset after seeing this.
My feelings are sort of mixed on this myself
a) why on earth would I be upset by this and b) the reason wackd was almost convinced is because shit like this constantly happens in the duck comics especially in the early Carl Barks ones

Part three! I think this is gonna be a five parter just because of tumblr’s 10 image limit so hold on in there we still in this and the next part is the actual Spicy Take so uh yeah head’s up for that
Part one is here / Part two is here / Part four is here!
as ever open in new tabs for best reading but if you want to read it all in full size I’ll post it on my website on Saturday when it’s all finished :Tb
turntechtestament asked: for the peep who wants to make webcomics (and other related peeps), I personally use ComicFury as my main host. it allows you to make your own site, completely modifiable for your needs with html and css, and it's ad free. you can also buy your own url and have it redirect it to the comicfury site for an extra ounce of Professionalism. on the backside, it's just upload and submit so it's easy to use.
there you go anon! I did also used to use ComicFury and had no problems with it (i just couldn’t be bothered uploading the comic to three different places so I dropped it :’D but it’s good!)
Anonymous asked: Sorry if that question is weird or something, but I'm really curious - I want to try creating webcomic, but I don't know what place on internet would be the best for that. Do you recommend some web platforms for webcomics?
if you mean posting, smackjeeves is good as a way to post and reach new readers and free to use! I use it as my mirror site (in case my home website crashes or something). As for making the comics, that’s all up to you anon babe go live ur dreams
dog--core asked: uh hi there!! i’ve been working on this webcomic idea for a while, but i just can’t bring myself to get started. how did u get the courage/motivation/time to post these immersive, beautiful comics without dying :0? also, any tips for naming a comic? thank u ♥️💓💕💖💗
just do it don’t think about it you’re gonna look back in a year and cringe at the art but in 2 years you’re gonna look back and be so glad that you just. started. go go go also names are hard man idk what to tell you good luck!!!
Part two! Thanks for hanging in there with this one despite that weird opener- hopefully it will just make sense as it goes along but here’s a link to the original Trail of the Unicorn story in case you want to scope that out first! (warning: that website has some gross adverts so be sure to have your adblock all suped up)
also again sorry this one is so wildly scribbly but I was a) trying to save on time and b) my hands died partway through making it like, really bad. whelp.
Part one is here / part three is here!
if you want to read the whole thing full size in one go I’ll be posting it up here when it’s completed!
