Anonymous asked: do you ship Dipper and Wendy?

You know, I don’t know! Not really. I mostly really like them being friends on the chill and intimate level that they are; I just really love how much they trust and understand each other and don’t let other complications get in the way of that (which involves admitting and dealing with those complications when they arise), so I guess I platonic ship them all the way to the moon! At the same time I guess I can see them hooking up in the future when Dipper is a bit older, but whatever happens I hope they stay best friends to the end :D

Me: Hmmm, what should I carve for my jack o’lantern this year? I like to be topical with my interests-

Bill: I THINK I KNOW A GUY!

Me: …. Perfect.

So basically y’all can blame (or thank) Modmad for this one, as Gravity Falls had always been on my To-Watch list, but her Sock Opera alternate ending and Night of the Hunter mashups bumped it up to Immediate Priority. Sooo now I’m obsessed with it. Enjoy my potentially possessed pumpkin. I didn’t bother wiping off the sharpie from when I sketched him out to carve because it makes him a bit more obvious in the daytime. Hopefully he’ll survive til Halloween, but if not, hey! Bill 2.0 will get carved later in the month, haha.

I AM TOTALLY OKAY WITH BEING PARTIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS

decided to kick my morning exercises through the window and do my inktober instead (using ink is like press-ups, right?)

you guys are not helping me to stop drawing this crossover and I appreciate that

Anonymous asked: It mades me so mad somehow that not only have you made me want to watch Night of the Hunter (which was a fantastic movie) but made me desperately want to cosplay your crossover Bipper how did you do that.

I do not know but I am delighted

Anonymous asked: I'm not trying to pressure you or say you *should*, especially since you seem to have a lot going on all the time and I respect that, but do you see any point in the future when TPOH will increase in update frequency? (I'm kinda new to this absolutely AMAZING comic and I don't know if it's done so before)

it’s not impossible, but I would have to not be working full time, and I would have to be not as injured as I am right now, and I would probably want to set up a patreon to make sure that I could not be working full time so that I could draw with enough time to spread the work out and not end up as injured as I am right now because I am an idiot

so basically, yes!

Anonymous asked: is it bad that I kind of want you to meet Alex and fall in friend with him

I THOUGHT THAT WAS GOING TO END IN A TOTALLY DIFFERENT WAY BUT THIS WORKED OUT SO ADORABLE AND I’M REALLY HAPPY ABOUT THAT no anon please want that that’s so super cute I love you for wanting such a radical nice thing whichwillneverhappenbutwecandream :’D

carriemebags asked: What kind of brushes do you use/would you recommend to use with ink? I have those inks that you do and and I think they're lovely.

well, like I said I’ve just been using an old watercolour brush for these- as long as the bristles are in good shape and don’t splay it works fine, and I prefer soft brushes when it comes to liquids like ink- save the stiff ones for acrylic and oil- but honestly anything goes, I’ve drawn with a stick dipped in ink before and it looked pretty good!

Bipper/The Night of the Hunter crossover for 4th inktober because I do not give a single damn although I basically already drew this scene a while back whoops

had people asking for a step-by-step, so while this isn’t a tutorial it’s what I generally do! using Winsor and Newton ink (gold and black) and one ancient watercolour brush I found somewhere in the house
