wow! cool ideas all around- but yeah I think I like the sound of ‘clip’, partly because if things are going quickly sometimes you say it’s moving 'at a clip’, and this would involve a lot of fast action scenes

well, she can either learn it the hard way or the hard way, but it might be a kinder act to be truthful with her now so that she learns sooner and with smaller repercussions instead of later with potentially big repercussions- plagiarism isn’t a cool hobby and definitely not something to encourage by letting them get away with it
