Anonymous asked: your duck doodle comics were the first I've ever read, and now I've read almost all of the Uncle Scrooge comics, from Just a Poor Old Man right up to the ones from 2014! I'm super grateful, I haven't had this much fun binging on comics since Sandman. I was wondering, what was the first duck comic you ever read?

oh wow! that’s fantastic, I’m so happy that you found the duck comics (and like them as much as I do, apparently!)- as for your question, it happens to be one that nobody knows the title for, because Barks never gave it one! but it’s often referred to as The Horseradish Treasure. I had no idea there were any disney comics until I found it in the library- and I read it expecting something like the Donald shorts I’d seen on TV, but boy I got a shock! It was so action packed and beautifully drawn, and the characters were so delightfully multifaceted (especially Scrooge) that I was absolutely hooked just from that one story.

a quick Scrooge-the-archivist sketch for Morgann Gicquel as a thank you for making the very excellent and gut-punching documentary The Scrooge Mystery. I love that Don Rosa now has his own ‘comic bin’ and we all know Scrooge has a penchant for cataloguing keepsakes from his lengthy life’s journey so I wanted to sketch something that gave us a look at that (wish I’d had more time to make the random stuff into specific objects referencing the stories but hey we gotta move on and keep drawing those new stories y’know?)

Anonymous asked: are you aware of Almos?

I am and it is delightful

a-little-dreamer-s-world asked: Hey, can you help me? I’m looking for a WoY fan comic where Wander gets sick and Lord Hater ends up taking care of him with Peepers because Slyvia went to visit her granny, I believe?? Did you make it, or do you who possibly could have made it?

oh that! yeah I made that it’s called The Fever, and you can find part one here!
