oh dang okay so some slightly bad news- apparently the new print run of the TPoH Volume 1 book has upped the weight (it only has like, 5 extra pages for print credits and things but apparently paper weighs of stuff) which has boosted it over the next payment barrier! In short I’ll have to charge a little more to cover the cost of shipping D: I’ll keep the base cost of the books the same but I’m sorry for those overseas as it’ll be a little more pricey than it used to be, I wish I could say otherwise! I won’t be making any extra profit it’s just how the game is.

Wander doesn’t want to fight, but seeing that there has been many monsters getting hurt, he will do whatever it takes to make them stop!

(He was inspired by this video of a Megalovania cover, in which they use a banjo! This cover is amazing!! xDDD)

gelatinocomics asked: I'm wondering how much planning goes into making a page of tpoh? Like do you have a thumbnail sketch of the entire page before you start on it? For that matter, how far ahead do you plan your pages? I'm curious because I'm trying to make my own longer comics, and I'm unsure how far ahead I should plan stuff.

It’s all up to you, really! Personally I thumbnail a chapter at a time, but I have a rough idea of the contents of all the chapters mapped out in a sort of crazy mind-maze thing I sketched out… it’s a weird way of doing things but it’s working out for me. Some people like to write the script of the comic first, but I find that thumbnailing and scripting at the same time works better for comics since image and writing have to interact. No way is the ‘right’ way though, and how I work isn’t necessarily the best method for you, or for me! I’m learning all the time, and if I find something works better I’ll switch it up. Try out a few things and see what works for you!

I’d love it if those two rediscovered the joy of being identical if only to mess with Osomatsu
