This is not a drill! We really did it!
I’m totally ecstatic about this! We have 25,000 supporters! Wander Over Yonder has 25,000 fans who are willing to fight for a third season! (and more since I know there are people who don’t want to sign the petition for certain reasons.)
Just to put that into perspective, if every one of those fans were to buy a t-shirt from the personalisation shop, Disney would make $624,750. If every person were to buy all of the episodes from iTunes, Disney would make $1,724,250! I know not all of the fans are capable of buying such things but this just goes to show that with this amount of fans, they could easily make money from WOY!
It’s important to remember that while 25,000 was our goal we will still need to go on beyond it! We don’t know for definite if this is going to be enough to SaveWOY! We might need more. Hitting this goal doesn’t guarantee we are getting a third season but it gives us a pretty good chance.
If this delivery fails then we will need a higher supporter count so we need the number of supporters to continue rising no matter what. The higher the number, the better our chances!
Expect an update in a couple of hours or so!

Gosh, that’s hard to answer- I can’t speak for everyone, but my impression with most people is that of admiration. There are a lot of businesses who are trying to remodel their economics and public relation services off Japanese models and we’ve had entire art movements that have been influenced by their culture, although our efforts were never anywhere near the quality of the original. I guess the feeling that I’ve encountered time and again is that of “wow, I wish our country was more like that…”
Which makes it even more surprising and flattering when Japanese people visit our country and say such kind things, especially when they love something that, we imagine, is relatively obscure on a global scale.
Basically I’ve never met anyone from the UK with a bad thing to say about Japan, we’re pretty much a low-key fan club (and according to my history lessons we have been for a pretty darn long time) :Tb
