This isn’t technically a Layton site, but hey, it’s got a certain connection to AA, wouldn’t you agree?
Tonight, Level-5 announced the latest main Layton game: Lady Layton: The Millionaire Queen Ariadne’s Plot! (Note that there could be some ambiguity over Ariadne’s gender due to the kanji used, but let’s assume they’re a woman given the name.)
The game focuses on Layton’s daughter, Catoleil Layton (romanization to be confirmed) and sees a return to the adventure-and-puzzle style of the original series.
The game will be released in Japan in spring of next year, available not only on 3DS but also iOS and Android devices. A localization is yet to be announced, but Level-5 trademarked “Lady Layton” in Europe recently.

it is like a recorder, but, in the same way a computer can take a voice recording and adjust the frequency and speed to alter how it sounds, Assok can slightly alter how the words come out- the ‘voice’ Assok speaks in is half an echo of the person who spoke it, half an approximation of how Assok wants to sound like
I just love the myth of Persephone, i mean the real, original version of it, because it’s not like she got kidnapped, no, this bitch was la-de-da-ing in a meadow and she just happened to find an entrance to the Underworld and she was like “Imma check this out”. And she just wanders into the Underworld and discovers that hey this place ain’t too bad.
Meanwhile Hades is in the background “????? UM??? PRETTY GIRL??? WHY ARE YOU HERE?????? YOU AREN’T DEAD???”
And Persephone (who was originally called Kore just a little fyi) just looked at him and said “I like it here. I’m staying.”
And Hades kinda just went with it, until Demeter started throwing the temper tantrum of the millenium upstairs and Zeus had to intervene because this shit was getting out of hand and its actually his job to be admistrator of justice. Which considering the shit he gets up to is kinda histerical but that’s another story there.
And basically Persephone wasn’t a prisoner or kidnap victim at all she just really loved the Underworld and her (eventual) husband, and the Greeks feared her arguably more than her husband because Hades could be reasoned with but Persephone was the one laying the smack down on sinners, and really, who wouldn’t be at least a little scared of someone who’s name means something along the lines of “the destroyer”
Basically, Persephone is amazing and everbody needs to get on her level
i think the best part of that myth is that Zeus decided to change Kore’s name to Persephone (basically “the one who brings chaos”) only because she wanted to stay in the underworld and SHE WOULDN’T FUCKING LISTEN then Zeus, all-mighty king of the gods, kinda gives up and goes “fine, but you’re going to visit your mom” “also, I changed your name” “get rekt”
Also, if I’m not mistaken, Kore means “little girl” so imagine going from that to “chaos bringer”
I mean, going from little girl to chaos bringer sounds like a p solid deal to me, sign me up.

so does mine pal, and honestly I adore articuno so the temptation for mystic was strong but man, you know I can’t not love doofy underdogs who just wanna play for fun so I am p. sure I would be team Instinct with captain McZap Happy (also most of my UK pals are Instinct, so)

The next step is for Post-Storyboard Artists (I’ll say… “PS-Artists”)
I have 7 storyboards from various artists.
You can sign up to be a PS-Artist and complete those storyboards in full color images and some images with transparencies (for ease of video editing). The official Sign Up will be up on Saturday July 30th. (I’m going to schedule-queue it for 10am EST.)
They are labeled as s3b, s6, s7c, s8, s10, s12a, and s12b (based off of the stanzas)

You can sign up by sending me an IM by Tumblr or by email. (I just need it to be time-stamped automatically on my end. I don’t think tumblr-replies are time-stamped so please refrain from those.)
Please tell me your first choice AND your second choice. (I’m just being cautious since some people may ask for the same storyboard at nearly the same time. If you don’t get your first choice I hope to give you your second choice asap.)
