hey SU-watching followers! my mum is super cool and is curious about Steven Universe and wants to watch an episode or two- what would you recommend as a good intro ep?
edit: thanks guys! got a pretty good mix lined up, really appreciate it <3
update: she likes it! we watched three eps together, her fav is Amethyst :D
Finally got a little time to work on a prosecutor for Justin Case to face off against :D
Very chill on the outset, his apparently rational and reasonable approach makes a court and judge side with him very easily… but under the surface he’s a very passionate, fire-and-brimstone guy who won’t go down without a fight!
Anonymous asked: Hello first I just wanna say that I think you are amazing. You are a wonderful storyteller and a fantastic person. And I want to thank you for your comic, I literally jumped around my room when I read the words "her wife" and Tailor is just amazing! I just love your portrayal of gender and your comic is what I go to whenever I feel all weird about my own gender identity. Thank you Uncle mod. Also from the cast that we have seen so far are there any characters that use the pronoun 'they'?
thank you so much! it means a lot to me that you feel that way, and yes; Assok identifies as… well, Assok! so ‘they’ or alternating ‘he’ and ‘she’ are the best pronoun choices for them, and there may or may not be another ‘they’ on the way…
Anonymous asked: This is kind of ridiculous, but I wanted to thank you for reminding me that Ovaltine exists? It's been YEARS, but your Justin Case post caused a craving, so I grabbed some at the store today. I nearly cried when I smelled it, it's so homey.
IT IS SO GOOD especially after not having it for an age? it’s my favourite autumn drink :D
sorry I was out all day today (for once in my entire goddamn life) so no doodles but one of my pals is doing an animation and is sort of rotoscoping/hybrid photo manip-ing it and asked me to do three frames for her bc and I quote “you got cartoon eyes you do the big eye part”
Miss Hokusai trailer, which is about the daughter of famous Japanese artist
Katsushika Hokusai, who you probably know from his iconic work The Great Wave off Kanagawa from Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji, as she begins to develop as an artist in her own right.
Excellent wing reference here. There’s a lot going on here that’s hard to identify in a fully-feathered adult wing.
Note the tendon running from the shoulder to the wrist. That’s the reason a bird’s elbow is not nearly as visible as a lot of artists tend to draw it.
Also note that the flight feathers stop at the elbow! This is the most wtf thing I ever learned. The feathers coming off the upper arm are just filler. The elbow is normally held close to the body to hide the gap.
These two things will make your wings 1000% better. And they apply to non-bird winged dinosaurs as well!
reblogging for (1) great reference (2) great scream
