oh gosh you remember that huh, well it was mostly going to be a talky-talky-feels comic so a little hard to describe that, but mostly about Kara feeling isolated and like he isn’t taken seriously, and Jyushi explaining that he never aims to be taken seriously- he worries about the exact opposite problem, but the core of both of their concerns is that they really care about their brothers, and the way all the siblings act and worry about how they’re perceived by each other largely circulates around love.
Howdy folks, just to let you know I’m alive and all but I’m stuck down south due to Hurricane Doris (which I can’t get over the name of I mean come on how adorable is this); just means I’ll be travelling back north tomorrow instead, but I might have to pass on updating TPoH this week. What I will do instead is give you a three page update the weekend after instead! How’s that for a trade-in? Anyway. Apologies, love you, stay chill xxx

Here’s another short story that serves as a tiny bit of character exploration for Gladstone Gander. It would make a nice half-episode for the genuine sweetness at the end.
(I’m loving how I’m just assuming these stories will magically be in the reboot. Just humor me, will ya?;D)
It starts with Daisy and Gladstone taking a walk around Duckburg together. Daisy finds a coin and picks it up, making a playful comment about how Gladstone ‘isn’t the only lucky one in this city.’

The rhyming story is so beautiful and thought out and the art is just beautiful(as always). I love the way you capture movement so well it always amazes me. And I've always loved your AUs for Mesi and Arthur, they're such uniques characters and I just have a lot of feelings about this comic- OK IM DONE. Sorry I just had to get all that out now 🙌🏽
aw man, thank you so much, I’ll try hard to keep improving and get that story finished! I’m going to be away for three days from tomorrow but I’m hoping I can get back on top of TPatJ when I get back- next update should be like, 3-4 pages so hopefully that’ll make up for it. It means a lot that there are folks like you out there cheering me on!

oh shucks, thank you! that means a lot to me! I did fix the panelling quite a bit but the dialogue/acting is pretty much exactly how it was in the first draft, but then I’ve always loved their personalities, so I knew them intimately well as characters, and I’ve always tried to write by letting the characters compel the story and dialogue rather than ‘telling them’ what to do, so hopefully that’s why it works?
