OKAY SO THIS WAS RAD.

Art trade/collab with my glorious gorgeous I-am-unworthy-to-know pal Joey! Please follow them over here because my goodness the work she does hurts in only the best ways.

We decided to do a sort of ‘before’ and ‘after’ set of pictures regarding Mob and Reigen’s relationship. Joey did the lineart for the first picture, I did the lineart for the second, then we swapped and coloured each others’ work! I still can’t get over what a joy and privilege this was to do aaaaa anyway, hope you like them :D

(p.s. these suckers are huge so like, new tab that shit if you want the deets)

Anonymous asked: I'm really sorry to bother you, but I sent a question in semi-recently (The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck), and you haven't answered it, which is fine! But there was a link in it (cut up, so it'd send), and I was just wondering if you actually got it (and just haven't gotten to it yet), or if it was denied?

sorry friend I think tumblr blocks any ask that has a link in it these days, try again perhaps? that said I don’t reply to absolutely everything (sorry to everyone that applies to I do read and appreciate all the messages!)

Anonymous asked: Hello, I'm the anon who asked about Gladstone comics :) Don't push yourself self Mod. I was just a bit curious, but if you have a lot going on, prioritize yourself and what you want. Hope things work out and I whish you good luck with everything! <3

aw anon pal that’s super sweet, and don’t worry I don’t plan on pushing myself- I never do with doodle comics they just… kinda… want to happen, if they do, and then they do! happen… uh. Yeah. Anyway, trying to focus on TPatJ for the next week so I can get back onto that but I certainly have another two solid Duck Doodle Comics in my head so I’ll see if I feel allowed to have a go at one or both later.

stellar-owl asked: hey mod, is there any particular thing you do to keep your hair healthy (or at least not falling apart) after so many bleach/dyes? I want to make my hair a weird color but I'm nervous about the maintenance part. :0 also, your art is wonderful and so are you!

Well for a start I use Manic Panic which is a henna-based dye, which is super nice to your hair and you can leave it on for hours! I leave mine on for like, five hours, because it makes it last much longer (also I am crazy). I also let my hair dry naturally, I basically never use a hair dryer or straighteners, and be generous with the conditioner- especially for the first few weeks after bleaching. Basically, be as nice to your hair as possible and leave it alone when you can :”D Thanks for the kind words buddy I will try my best to keep improving!

Hey guys! Commissions are back in town! Help your local trans-dude artist get by!

The long and short of it is due to mental illnesses I’m not able to work as many shifts at my day job as I used to. It’s important that I still make money as I need a) to just generally live and b) to find someplace to live this summer so I don’t need to go back to my abusive parents’ house.

If you have any questions or are interested, email me at nmlovearts@gmail.com.

Just as a heads up, I ask for payment via paypal invoices and no other means please!! It helps me stay above board with everything and makes sure Paypal gets their cut.

Some more general info below the cut. Thanks guys!!

Anonymous asked: Weird question! So I've always had relatively longish hair (Between the shoulder blades length), but I want to cut it off to be short, like yours or maybe shorter? And I'm sort of nervous if I'll still look good. So I wanted to know, did you always have short hair? And if you used to have long hair, were you nervous about getting it short for the first time?

shucks pal I understand you asking- because yes, I had long hair for a long long time! I had it cut short first when I was, gosh, 13? maybe 14, and yes I was nervous! But I went for it, and it was okay for a week but I had it cut in a bob and didn’t know that a bob does not stay straight if you have curly/wavy hair and ended up looking like a fruzzy mushroom for months. I went back to being long haired for a while then went short-ish again in my late teens. I also didn’t know that you basically don’t brush hair like mine! It works best just leaving it be! It was all a learning experience though and I am very happy staying short haired forever- it’s very easy to maintain and never gets knotted!

Basically, if you’re getting it cut, regardless of it being short or mid-length, tailor it to the kind of hair you have! Not much use fighting nature, even if straighteners and curling tongs are a thing. If you have wavy/curly hair it will probably do the same as mine, but if it’s straight maybe try something like a pixie cut, or ask them to make it choppy and use some hair wax to muss it up. I’m no hair expert, but when it comes down to it the best way to style your hair is to cater to your hair.

new hair! I literally had no plan going into this so I just used up what bits and pieces of dye I had left over :’D

Anonymous asked: Modmad, I'm curious, what do you feel about abstract/minimalist/modern art?

I like it! I like most art movements tbh but yeah man I like art depicting a lot by using only a little, I have big respect for people who can pull that off
