Anonymous asked: I may be behind everyone else figuring this out but... is RGB partly inspired by Gladstone? only after you've got me reading the comics I am starting to see a lot of similarities
and thus we come full circle; hilariously the thing that started me on this mad drowning-tumblr-with-ducks thing was someone asking that same question! but it’s true, amongst the various influences that wound up feeding into RGB there was undoubtedly a generous amount of Gladstone Gander- without the extreme luck, that is. Even if RGB actually started out as something of a parody of my own worst qualities, when it came to refining the personality, body language, outfit and dubious moral standing I absolutely took cues from Gladstone.
Anonymous asked: I really hope Don Rosa finds your work man, he'd love that latest comic for sure!
well I mean, I sure wouldn’t mind if he found it if it made him happy! downside is I’d die? from happiness and embarrassment but I figure that’s a decent way to go tbh
Another doodle comic! Yaaay. Effectively the first time I’ve really tried drawing José and Panchito, which is awful considering how much I love them. The barn and the symbol are from Don Rosa’s The Sign of the Triple Distelfink, so go enjoy that if you haven’t already!
Among the smartest and longest lived animals we can ever hope to interact with and it was willing to learn this stupid trick to amuse its human friend.
