pekkatopohanta asked: hey can i just say, it's nice to see how much effort you put only into the background characters in your stories? more often than i'd like i see duck artists take the easy way out and make everyone into a simple dog nose, but there's always so much variety in your comics! like the latest one, there was a bore, a beaver, i think i saw a bull in there?it's clear that you put a lot of thought into them. your work is amazing, i'd love to read it officially published someday!!
Thank you! I’ve been trying to improve on that and honestly I have found the best way to defeat the ‘urgghhhh ohhh maaaan why are there so many background characterssss’ feeling is to make them look like they have their own story! Like oh hey I wonder where this dude is going, where did they get that bike, how difficult is it to find nicely tailored pants that accommodate a beaver tail etc. etc.
Anonymous asked: For that anon, I think it was this one here W DD 31-03 (I loved your latest comic! I hope you can let those genius hands have a rest)
YOU DID DONE FOUND IT thanks man I’ll add that info
Anonymous asked: Sorry if you've been asked this before but how do you feel about people coloring your sketches if you're directly credited?
that’s fine! as long as you credit (and link to the original maybe?) I’m totes okay with that :D
For Asexual Awareness Week, I didn’t have a lot of time, but I wanted to at least share a condensed version of my discovery of asexuality.
Everyone’s different and on a spectrum, but I hear the phrase “I thought I was broken” when I hear stories about ace people before they knew they were ace. I suffered a lot thinking I was broken when I was going through high school. I felt such relief to learn there’s a word for what I am. I hope others find comfort, too

Anonymous asked: Please, what's the Inducks code of that vintage Gladstone Does Nothing Wrong story you referenced in 'Contrariwise'?
I wish I knew! I don’t even know the title of it, I’m real sorry!
Where did you find it then?
it was when I started travelling through all the old Donald/Scrooge comics in the archive but tbh it was so long ago and there are so many? I just? I have no idea which comic series it was from I’m the worst
if I do find it again I’ll add the code and title to the duck comics post I made!
EDIT: it has been found! W DD 31-03 ‘Family Tree’

Guess what I found something I hate drawing more than cars- airplanes. Who knew? Thanks again for reading- you can find all my doodle comics here!
and hey, if you like these doodle comics, maybe consider looking into my original web comic, and this kickstarter I’m running to fund the second book! There’s only thirteen days to go and we aren’t halfway there yet so… Pretty please?
Also about the rain thing- it’s from the end of this comic, and I know it’s almost a throwaway gag but I just loved the idea and ran with it…

Part two of two! Cover here / Part one here!
Here we go- a little tribute to another favourite Uncle Scrooge comic of mine; Lars Jensen’s Body Swap! And yes I know everyone and their mum has done a body swap comic… but I haven’t! So this was great fun :D I do recommend you read that original comic first, but you’ll get the gist of it anyway I’m sure…
As ever, zoom in or open in new tabs if you can’t read the text! Actually, do that anyway: art always looks better full size.

Anonymous asked: I really really REALLY hope it doesn't come to it, but... What happens if we don't make the Kickstarter? Try again next year? Find another publisher? Do a smaller run?
well first thing is- don’t be distressed! or surprised, even- I said it before but this basically a terrible time to have run the campaign because the world is like, falling? apart? and folks don’t got much cash to spare rn and there are much more worthy causes to be giving to which I am 100% behind. I am delighted to have even got as far as we have with this kickstarter (over hecking 12,000 smackers! whoa!), and whatever happens I am very grateful to everyone who reads TPoH and everyone who’s supported this project- and I know there’s a lot of you who can’t do both, so don’t be upset if you can’t fund the kickstarter! I understand! there will be future opportunities, and maybe I was just too hasty with this attempt. I’ll keep looking for a publisher, I don’t think I can personally reprint and dispatch books again like I did with Volume 1 with how my hands are, but who knows maybe I can get someone to help me. Fingers crossed, but if it doesn’t work out don’t despair, we’ll try and try again!
