Just an update- I told my good folks about it and they’ve made a move already! Message from an email back from my main girl: “No worries! I just added it for those backers on Backerkit. You can let people know to check the Digital Downloads section of their Backerkit page, and if they have any problems finding or downloading the files, they should contact Backerkit. Thanks!”

IMAGINE IT THOUGH you could be Donald as the main protag and the game is like persona in terms of completing social links with all the duck comics characters (like Gyro is totally the Hermit, Gladstone: Wheel of Fortune, Scrooge: Emperor etc. etc. and you could get to know them in depth and hhhrgggH) and since Donald is the angery fighty fella and there are so many great bad guys to use you could absolutely have some kind of battle system/metaverse mindscape with folks like Azure Blue or Glomgold as bosses and ohhhh noo that’s really nerdy and good and I want Disney to collab with Atlus to make this now right NOW (considering we have Kingdom Hearts this is totally possible right? right)
1- aw shucks man but gosh would I ever jump on that job offer hands be damned, 2- DISNEY LOOK WE WANT TO GIVE YOU MONEY, 3- tbh I was thinking High Priestess but that could work too! on the other hand originally I had Fethry down for the Fool, but if Donald would be the main protag to fit that (which works super well tbh) then maybe Fethry, being his showman wild-money-makin-scheme and cheer-you-on self would be the Magician instead?

here’s an old patreon reward to fill in the drawing-hiatus void a bit; something I get asked about a lot is the ‘acting’ in my comics and how to be subtle with conveying emotions. The answer is mostly experience and constantly observing people in real life to learn about expressions, but knowing when to ‘dial up’ or ‘dial down’ emotion is very important! context is king- this is basically the same advice that Carl Barks gave on one of his reference sheets here (in a much more succinct manner!):

if there are any vol 1 and 2 books left (not given out as rewards) they will go up on sale on the Make That Thing website, so don’t worry I’ll make a post about it if/when that happens!
