baneofboredom asked: I don't know nothing about ducks except what I've learned just from reading your comics(and playing kingdom hearts) but I still really enjoy your duck comics. I think they bridge the gap between being accessible to the uninitiated, but still having accurate and detailed minutae to keep the long time fans interested.

*punches the air several times* YES GOOD THANK I WANT THAT

twitter vote! I’m debating over whether or not to add those little Alternate Ducktales comics to the doodle comic section of my website or not; folks seem to like them and some have asked me to add them, I just worry that it would require too many layers of prior knowledge to understand them (but I guess I can just make a little explanation page to precede them…) if you’ve got an opinion on that please go give me your feedback on the twitter poll!

Today, a year ago, I made my very first post here!

Today, March 14th, is the day you guys! My blog becomes one year old. Yikes, it happened… too fast. Anyways, I decided to do some kind of redraw of my first pic posted here to celebrate! I wouldn’t say this is an improvement because my style went a bit too off-model, but… at least it changed haha. I may just do a redraw of this poor thing every year!

Now I want to thank you all duck ppl! You have been so good and patient to this dumb girl, and I swear, if I am still drawing and trying to imporve, it is because of you! You keep me motivated. I would like to say thanks personally to each one of you, but- I hope this helps. I swear I’ve never been in such a good fandom, thank you so much for the experience!

If you remember this drawing, gosh, it has been so long, eh? Obviously you don’t have to, but I would love to know how did you got to know about my trashy blog. I’m just curious aaaa. Luvya!

Anonymous asked: Hi Uncle Mod! Thought you'd like to know there's legit a section about your Gladstone redesign on the "DuckTales 2017's Gladstone Gander" page of the Scrooge McDuck Wiki. You have genuinely, lastingly affected the fandom at large with those beautiful doodles of yours!

oh my! I can’t find which page you’re referring to (link anyone?) but that’s very sweet all the same even if it gets deleted ahaha

Say hello (officially!) to Sardine! They’re enthusiastic and upbeat, at least as a cockatrice. Who’s to say about those other heads, though!

This is definitely not an exhaustive guide to the character, but I thought it would be a fun little intro and a semi-refsheet. I hope you enjoy!

yo here’s a quick scanlation i did, a fairly interesting take on a valentine’s day story i’d say

written and drawn by kari korhonen

full story here: X

I LOVE THIS. I can’t believe they lampshaded IT like that.

Cupid Dude knows what’s up. I love stories by Korhonen.

I also adore Gladstone in this one, and I was so happy with the characterization and outcome. And my favorite thing in this whole story is these golden expressions

I’ve done my first scanlation. This is a parody of the novel Foucault’s Pendulum by Umberto Eco. It’s a difficult book, but it is rewarding enough that it is one of my favourite books of all time. So when I heard of this comic, I became very interested in reading it. And it turned out to pretty good, despite some flaws. To my surprise, it is reasonably faithful to the book.

Inducks link

Read it on Imgur

Also, click on the images to enlarge them, the scans are pretty big.

The plot is that Donald, Fethry and Gladstone create a made-up conspiracy theory and publish it in Scrooge’s newspaper, only to discover that there is more  truth to the theory than they think.

I don’t know how many will be interested in this translation. What is the overlap between fans of postmodern literature and Duck comics fans? Sometimes I feel the writer Bruno Sarda wrote this for exactly 2 people: Himself and me.

The scans are from a German 2014 re-print and come from @land-of-birds-and-comics . She pointed a masterpost of german duck scans and I used her links.

I’ve translated this from German into English, so from my third language to my second. You can understand if it is a little shaky at times, especially since I’m entirely new at this scanlation business.

I put in a few references to Monty Python, The Prisoner and Laurel and Hardy that were not in the original text.

There is also a parody of The Name of the Rose, also written by Sarda, which I will try to translate soon.

@worldwide-duckverse might be interested in this.
