Happy Birthday Jim.
We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.Dr. Seuss (via skeletales)
Scanner, I just drew some fan art for the first time in half a year.
Scanner, I replaced the black ink, just like you told me to.
Scanner, the connection with my network is working just fine.
Why aren’t you talking to me.
Did I say something wrong.
Is…
Is the magic gone?
JUST TELL ME WHAT TO DO, WE CAN FIX THIS, I CAN FIX THIS, DON’T LEAVE ME THIS WAY.
Sometimes I have nice dreams and I feel compelled to sketch scenes from them so I can capture that weird feeling in a tangible form. This one turned out pretty accurate in terms of what I saw from my point of view! I remember the light doing exactly this in the hallway I was in.
The dream was about a yard sale going on inside someones house.
There was a man and woman in a hurry to pack up their things. They told me anything that wasn’t in a box was for sale and to let them know if I wanted anything.
Their house was bursting with plantlife! Vines trailed up the walls and moss covered patches of the hardwood floor. I think the man mentioned it had something to do with his profession.
A picture frame on the wall was full of a solid rectangle of woven, swirling vines. The vines crept out of the broken edges of the frame. I stared at it.
“Do you want the picture frame? It’s for sale.” said the man. “I can remove the vines.”
“No!! I like the vines!”
I should start doing this with my dreams…

I just watched this. It’s magical! Here is a link to watch if you are interested. (The link is with Japanese audio and English subs; the Disney dub will come out in 2012)
Ahhh, finally watched it. Every new Studio Ghibli film is like a breath of fresh air. I cannot wait to see this on the big screen (February!?!??!).
Now I am on a mad hunt for the soundtrack. Surprisingly not by Hisaishi, but it was absolutely gorgeous.
