Seriously: this wonderful video has had a huge impact on how I think about creativity. For years.
Unfortunately, the copy I’ve had and repeatedly enjoyed “fell off the back of a truck,” so I had no way to share it.
Now, (via danforth), I can finally share and highly recommend it.
And, I really, really do encourage you to watch it. Really. All the way through. It’s just terrific.

Oh man you have no idea. Last Halloween we got this giant cardboard box and painted it up as the TARDIS- we went door to door and took turns to burst out in a dramatic fashion, claiming that we needed a sufficient quota of sweets to save the universe from a band of evil aliens who had infiltrated the Earth’s population by pretending to be dentists.
It was pretty damned excellent. Unfortunately, what with our TARDIS not being bigger on the inside we did have a few problems.

Haha, wow, don’t think I could manage 19 yet, but I’ll give you what I’ve posted up to now.
- Detektivbyran - E 18 ; basically now my permanent head-canon theme for the whole comic. It just has the same feeling as the story.
- Professor Layton and the Unwound Future -London 3 ; Listened to this a lot when drawing the pages of them leaving the city, so that’s how I think of that scene.
- The Hours - Dead Things ; We haven’t even got to them yet but this is basically Madras and RGB’s creepy romance theme for me.
- Poirot: Murder on the Orient Express 2010 - Redemption ; This is just… okay, there’s one particular scene that we’re miles off from which just IS this. No I won’t say what it is, but yeah I can see this as a recurrent theme in the whole story too.
By the way if anyone has a piece of music they think works for reading along with I’d love to hear it- just submit it to the fanart tumblog over here.
