Dear google images
I am sure you used to be better than this.
Why, when I search for Art Deco anything, are half of your results Art Nouveau?
There is a difference.
I am marking you down for this.

One of my friends who reads TPoH just sent me an email which basically said he is going to punch me in the face because he had a nightmare with those spiky things stabbing his legs to the ground and then he saw the update and was like OH GOD IT WAS TRUE ALL ALONG.

Fork owns an impressive intelligence, however can only do so once an hour. Additionally, she is protected from damage by a diamond-like hide, but only while concentrating. Fork has been known to copy any one power of her combatants. Shamefully, Fork endures the burden of being insane.
Cool.
Pettyartist has developed a magnificent collection of useful gadgets. Also, she has been known to spin like a whirlwind and she has learned to make butterflies appear from nowhere. Lamentably, Pettyartist takes harm from exposure to silver.
…
SILVER.
Mod has learned to transform shadow into ice, however using this power draws a lot of attention. Additionally, she can deflect electricity. Lamentably, Mod struggles with being insane.
Never has a more accurate description of me been generated at random.

Nemo (1984 Pilot) - Directed by Studio Ghibli’s Yoshifumi Kondô
This short was a test for the later feature length film Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland. According to Wikipedia, at least three pilot films were made before the actual feature film. This appears to be the first, back when Studio Ghibli was more heavily involved on the project
Holy shit.
I will never get over how good the animation in this is. I mean, wow. The Nemo film is just as visually stunning, but the hacked voice over and severe story and pacing problems still irk me. They had a lot of problems when making it so I understand why it happened, but it still knocks it down the awesome-ometer a few pegs.
This, on the other hand, is just perfection. Cohesive, fluid, succinct. Do yourself a favour and press play.

Let me bring this back.
Pretty sure this was the first Homestuck fan art I ever saved
Holy shit is it ever weird seeing your work show up on tumblr.
Especially when it’s very nicely credited ;w;

weasley-detectives replied to your post: Well, okay random anon, just because I’ve had the…
I had to fast forward the field of poppies bit. Scared the beejeebus out of me. XD But my scariest film had to be ‘Return to Oz’ - so good/terrifying! That and Pinocchio. The whale. THE FEAR OF WHAAALE ;_;
Oh my god, Return to Oz was and is one of my absolute favourite movies. It certainly scared me, but I don’t think it scared me in the same way as W.O.Oz; it was the good, honest to goodness ‘holy shit there’s an evil woman without a head and her cabinets full of decapitated heads are screaming at me’ kind of scared- the kind of scared that comes from your heart. The Wizard of Oz scared me because it just felt all wrong.
I don’t know if that makes any sense, but having your friends turned into objects to be eternally hoarded by the Goblin King is terrifying in one way, but having someone offer to dye your eyes to work with your outfit is another.
… Which sounds pathetic now because everyone has coloured contact lenses but that shit freaked me out okay.
Other people. Putting dye in your eyes. To match your outfit. No thanks.

Well, okay random anon, just because I’ve had the book on my mind a lot recently, I’ll confess to the film that scared me the most when I was a kid- the Wizard of Oz.

It wasn’t the flying monkeys that scared me, it wasn’t even the witch. It was the tornado with people cycling past. It was the field of poppies. It was the hourglass. It was the song in the Emerald City when they sing;
“We can make a dimple smile out of a frown.
Can you even dye my eyes to match my gown? Uh-huh!”
Those thoughts in particular terrified me: changing someone’s face like that, to be all perfect and happy and just so. I didn’t know why it scared me so much then but I have an idea now, and to this day I have an overwhelming fear of tornadoes and hurricanes, although I’ve never lived in a part of the world where they’re commonplace.
Not to say I disliked the movie. I mean, I was scared of Pinocchio too and I loved that film.
i honestly feel 100% better after watching this
