I don’t have instagram but I know some of you do and this fab lady has two adorable cats called TARDIS and Tetris so don’t even pretend not to be interested (also she draws good)
The first page of The Property of Hate in Tengwar Parmaite Elvish. I translated it with this then rewrote it in Sai using the same colours as Mod. Even the size of the font is roughly the same (apart from the chapter header. It was too tall to get exact.)
queenburd asked: how many arabic readers do you think will catch the fact the translation for "the hook" on the arabic page also translates to "the trap"
I have no idea but I did not know that and that is fantastic.
I was concerned that Lovecraftian horrors wouldn’t be able to read your comic, so I translated it into R'lyehian. (Actually, I ended up translating the entire first chapter, but I’m not sure if you really want me flooding your inbox with that…) It doesn’t really work too well as a real language, but my goodness I tried.

So after the (rather dismal) failure of my first attempt at using scented oils, I decided to try and sew something else. So I thought “Hey, I’ve been reading TPoH, and the Lie was cute. Maybe I’ll make one of those!”
It took a couple of tries with the pattern (that’s still not quite right), and I didn’t have any white fabric. So, let’s say this is a Lie that’s gotten bigger. More elaborate. They do grow, after all.
I think it’s pretty cute. The body is a cotton weave, and the eyes are velvet treated with superglue around the edges to keep them from fraying and are hand stitched on.
Ok, I really need to follow more people who post The Property of Hate So reblog this or whatever and I’ll check you out. Because seriously I need more of this in my life.
