i just love that we could get 87 Gyro and 17 Fenton who are both so enthusiastic about the sport together and they’d be able to support each other’s ideas. haha you know my headcanon is that Gyro is an open but quiet sort of guy, but when someone shows interest in him he’s ready to embrace that in a hot second
I like how the portrayal of the Fenton/Beaks stuff is like, so accurate for their personalities, like yeah if they got into a relationship it would be so lopsided and I love how people explore that. don’t ever change! but I mean can you resist someone so easily and readily able to love someone for who they are? (i mean i can’t c’mon) it’s fun to take a break from the severity of rocky relationships

I was amazed how many people freaked out at him :’D or maybe not, he’s precious. I headcanon that he’s the kinda guy who always has some beef jerky on him. The real good stuff. He doesn’t share unless you have a pet dog. The dog gets it, not you.

actually I really appreciate you asking this- because as much as I endorse and encourage writing fanfic (some of my best education in creative writing was via fics and especially multiverse RP writing, yeah in your face School), I actually don’t read it very much, or at all these days! it’s not that I dislike it, far from it: I just find I haven’t the time for it and I also don’t want to accidentally influence my ideas for the comics by absorbing things from other people too much, if that makes sense? probably doesn’t, but yeah alas I will ask please not to tag me for fanfic simply due to the fact that I don’t read it and I would feel bad for you to be waiting on my response to it :’D

no worries! If you’re unfamiliar with the characters from the Donald Duck comics, it’s a ship between Magica De Spell (a sorceress who famously wants to steal Scrooge McDuck’s number one dime), and Gladstone Gander (a supernaturally lucky goose… who is Scrooge’s nephew!). I don’t know about others but I first hit on the ship when I read A Gal for Gladstonewhen it came out, and I’ve basically loved their dynamic and the possibilities of that relationship ever since! What I didn’t know is it seems to have happened to a lot of other people at the same time, we’ve just… kind of come out of the woodwork on tumblr oddly recently?! It’s wild. Enjoy the tag there’s some lovely fanart in there my dude.
The two characters are both magically inclined but in very different ways, sit on opposite sides of the luck scale and opposite sides of a significant debate in the ownership of that very special coin. They also have a great deal in common, however, especially in terms of hidden soft sides, moral ambiguity and enduring hardships that few others know of (or could even understand). I find they balance each other out in an endlessly interesting, funny, and often extremely healthy way. There’s obviously also infinite room for angst, and the whole thing is such a dynamic ball of story potential that making comics featuring them has become something of a therapeutic side project for me. The first follow-up comic I did to A Gal for Gladstone was The Sorceress’s Apprentice, but there’s been no stopping me since :’D
