but I know that if I stop then I’ll never get any better at all and I would also be incredibly sad if I stopped doing the thing I love just because I know I’m not great at it, and that would probably make other people sad too! So I keep doing it and the more work I make the more often there are times when I am less insecure about it than usual, and sometimes I even make something that I like! If only for a little while. I’ll never be as good as I want to be or as good as the people I admire, but you can’t compare yourself to others. Everyone grows in different ways and at different speeds; the main thing is that I keep on growing and trying to improve, however long that may take!

I am! I’m partway through another one actually but it’s crunchtime on the work storyboards I’m doing and I have a trade that I need to get on with (alongside the next comic page of course), so I’ve put it on hold until things calm down again.

Yes! Although I don’t think I was ever cool enough to be regarded as a tom-boy. I think the best way to exemplify that is one of my proudest moments when one of my teachers at school remarked; “Sarah, you make an atrocious lady, but you make an excellent gentleman.”
