Everything I draw ends up wearing a bow-tie

For once I actually like my sketches! I was trying to get a better grasp of Pajas. She’s playful and very determined to try and get Scurvy to be her Corn Maiden. She often hops around on her pole leg and enjoys spinning around until she falls.

I invited my wonderful friend Mod to possibly design some scarecrows I could play with and she said yes! Here they are [x]! They are wonderful birthday presents! I started with Brig! (Bergantín in Spanish) I had brain stormed with Cricket that there are Pirate Witches who sail upon a giant ancient ship from the witch days of Yore. The mast and sails are a giant Corn Mother (an old Scarecrow). Brig is one of the life boats. I hope you don’t mind I really wanted to give her a donald duck hat, a seashell for a nose and a claw from a lobster or crab! She’s also missing a tooth.  If it’s not okay let me know! I’m still playing with it and having a lot of fun. Mod explained that she “likes adventuring but excels at capsizing”. I imagine she gives Scurvy (Escorbuto in Spanish) a hard time, playfully of course, like “siblings” often do! I imagine she has a love hate relationships with storms! On one hand she loves riding the waves, the thrill, the exhilaration, never have felt so alive! YAHOO—but then she rolls upside down…

Then there’s old crayon sketches of Vivica and Cuco. So much more sloppy since I was trying to relax.

also I love that Brig fits in so well with the giant ship I literally had no idea about that when I drew her aaahahaha

-“What an odd looking bird.” Thought Tarquin, and quite understandably too, for it was a very odd looking bird indeed. It was quite unlike anything the little pig had seen before, with sweet-wrapper wings all shaped like a boomerang, and a tail split into two long paddles.

It circled around the farmstead, banking as it began its descent, and as it lowered it only became more odd, for there was actually very little about it that was bird-like at all. It seemed to be a very ungainly shape, and yet, when it finally came in to land, it was not with a crash and a bump and a complicated tumble (as Tarquin had expected), but with a rather satisfying sort of ‘flump’.

“Hello.” Said the odd looking bird.

“Hello.” Replied the pig, watching the strange new creature folding up its wings with great interest. It appeared to be too absorbed in looking around to notice his staring, so he continued to do so. “Are you lost?”

“Oh yes, yes…” The answer came in an absent, gentle voice. The sort of voice one could listen to for a very long time without getting tired of it at all. “-but I really don’t mind it, you know.”
